Hi there, I’m Mike, and thanks for visiting djsmitty.com. I’ve been providing professional DJ and Emcee services since 1995. I started my DJ career on the radio doing afternoons on 103.5 FM, The Blaze in Chico, CA. I still work full time in the broadcast industry but no longer in front of a microphone.
Yes, that’s my ugly mug on the right. I’m often asked why I do this. I have a true passion for music. I believe the key to success is in the details and taking the time to understand my clients needs. Each and every client I work with have different expectations which in turn means no event or wedding is the same.
I am inspired by my wife of almost 10 years and my two beautiful children. I look forward to hearing from you and the opportunity to earn your business.

What kind of events do you do?
We’ve done a large number of weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, block parties, class reunions, corporate events, Bar Mitzvahs, Quinceañeras, you name it.
Does DJ Smitty Entertainment charge for setup/tear down time or travel?
No. We typically arrive at least one hour prior to your scheduled start time and will be set up long before your first guest arrives. A travel fee ($50-$100) may apply if the event is outside of the Sacramento area.
What is the deposit and when is the final payment due?
We require a $100 non-refundable deposit and signed contract to reserve your date. The remaining amount due in full after we’re setup but before we start playing at your event.

What exactly is your “No Hassle Date Hold”?
The idea is simple, upon speaking by phone I’ll hold your event date for one week while you make your decision; no stress, no worries, no cheesy sales calls to pressure you. If someone tries to book your event date during the hold, you’ll be notified and be given the first opportunity to permanently reserve it.
Can I meet and/or interview you prior to signing a contract?
Absolutely. A DJ can make or break an event. I recommend you meet with any and all DJ’s you’re interested in hiring.
How Current Is Your Music Library?
We procure music through Entertainment Resources Group on a regular basis. We’d like to believe our music library is exceptional however in the event we don’t have a song request we’re able to download it onsite at no additional charge to you. This gives us nearly unlimited access to any song request made by your guests.
How Big Is Your Music Library?

What If You Don’t Have A Song I Want?
If we don’t have a song, it’s our responsibility to find and purchase it.
Is DJ Smitty Entertainment insured?
Yes. We have a general liability policy through R.V. Nuccio & Associates that will meet the requirements of any venue. Proof of insurance is available by request.
Does DJ Smitty Entertainment have backup equipment?
In the unlikely event something should fail, DJ Smitty Entertainment has a full set of backup gear including: mixers, amplifiers, microphones, cables, spare laptop and a second copy of my entire music library. Backup equipment is ALWAYS onsite and in many cases online and ready to go.
